This superb Hetchins is owned by Dave Robertson of Port Elizabeth and was recently entered in the 2020 Eroica SA Bicycle Concourse where it was awarded Best Restored Bicycle on show..

This bike’s frame number is H27904, and is listed in the ledgers as a model Vade Mecum, type 6 (road racing geometry, 22.5 inch, curly, first sold 12 April 1960, to J.T. Rodgers (a reseller in Leeds who took many Hetchins frames), original price: 12 pounds 9 pence. It was the seven thousand nine hundred and fourth frame made since they started counting in August 1935.
