This Sweet Andre Bertin is owned by Sven van Straaten of Port Elizabeth. It was recently entered into the Eroica South Africa Bicycle Concourse where it was awarded 2nd Place in Best Restored Bicycle.
The frame was bought in France and brought back to South Africa to be restored. An all French approach was taken so the whole bike is fitted with Simplex crankset, front, rear derailleurs and down tube changers. Mafac centre pull calipers and brake levers with a lovely Ideal 2000 saddle, Atax stem, Belleri handle bars, Maillard pedals and a set of Mavic wheels to finish the build off.
