Classic Bicycle Ride & Festival
The evening of Friday 10th June, till Sunday 12th June 2022 at Glengarry in the Natal Midlands.
Schedule of events (provisional)
Friday Evening 10th June
A social get together and braai for those that wish to attend will be held at the main venue. This is an opportunity to meet fellow participants and relax with friends.
Saturday 11th June
Morning
The main event gravel ride happens and will start and end at Glengarry.
Afternoon
A classic bicycle display and concourse competition will be held at the main venue. Tea will be served and followed by a get together and sundowners at the lake later.
Saturday evening
The event festival dinner.
We will award some fun prizes and have further opportunity to socialise and discuss the day’s event.
Sunday 12th May
A social ride will take place and anyone can ride along. This will be a short ride at a relaxed pace on tar and will start and end at Glengarry.
Registration & Cost
Participants must register and pay prior to the event. Late registrations on the day will attract and additional R50 fee.
R500 per participant.
Includes:
- Salads & rolls at the Friday social braai (bring your own meat, There will be a bar service)
- Saturday main ride day refreshment table eats.
- Saturday afternoon teas and snacks.
- Sundowner drinks and snacks at the lake.
- Saturday evening burger meal & dessert.
- Commemorative poster.
R350.00 non-participant package:
Includes all the meals teas and snacks for accompanying family and friends is also available.
Accommodation
Accommodation is available at Glengarry. Chalets or Camping sites can be booked. Contact Glengarry directly.
They have offered our event a special rate.
We suggest staying there as it will be the most convenient.
You are welcome to look for other accommodation in the area.
There are lots of great establishments near to the event venue.
The Routes (provisional)
We have three exciting routes to enjoy, catering for all cycling abilities.
There will be three options, 20km, 36km and 60km.
All routes will start and finish at Glengarry.
Everyone will be riding together for the first 20km leg. The 36km riders and 60km riders will be together till the water table stop, where the 60mkm riders will split off and continue on, with the 36km riders returning directly to Glengarry.
